Church School and Nursery
Our new nursery room (2010) is located on the lower level, near the Sunday School
room and washrooms. Each Sunday two adult volunteers staff the nursery
and provide excellent care for your child.
If you'd like to have your young one worship with you that is perfectly fine,
the nursery & volunteers are simply
here to help you!
We have a new children’s program this fall called Holy Moly. Every Holy Moly lesson follows a four-part sequence: Discover, Relate, Connect, and Create. Each week, the children watch an animated Bible story video, talk about the story, read their Bible Storybook or Bible, and try a creative leaflet activity. One of the great things about Holy Moly is that the program follows the arc of the biblical narrative. Kids of all ages interact with the Bible in every lesson.
Our children also now participate with us for the entire celebration of the Eucharist. It is critical that we teach children how to worship so that when they are older they don’t “graduate” from Sunday School into an expectation that they take part in a worship service that is completely new and foreign to them. And one of the most exciting things about this new program at St. Margaret’s is that we have 17 adult members of the congregation who have volunteered to be a part of this ministry!
You might even want to go to Sunday School one week yourself and check out the program for yourself.
Sunday Morning Youth Program
We will be embarking on a Biblical adventure at the Sunday Youth Tea Club!
We will be using comprehensive and fun tween Bible curriculum called
This Bible study will take us chronologically through the Bible to engage with God's Word.
We will also be exploring the Bible throughGodly Play is based upon the recognition that children and youth have an innate sense of the presence of God. Godly Play provides youth with a language to help them identify and express their spirituality so it can be explored and strengthened.
In discussion with the youth we are also adding a program that will run after the Sunday morning service so that we can spend more time together and go deeper in our exploration of our faith and relationships with one another and God. We hope that you would want to join us!
